Manage your files easily with File Commander Premium. Handle any file on your phone without the need of a third-party app. Manage cloud storage services from one place.
Introduction File Commander
Nowadays, people don’t need computers as much as a decade ago. Thanks to the advancement of technology, your smartphone now is very capable too. For instance, you can work with office documents efficiently while waiting for the bus. Listening to music and playing videos have never been as easy as today. Photos look great on your smartphone screen, and you can even edit them without the need for a computer. On top of that, there are console emulators for you to play retro games right from your phone.
However, all the aforementioned benefits also come with a tradeoff. There are thousands of files and folders lying everywhere on your phone’s storage, and sometimes keeping track of them takes a lot of effort. That is why MobiSystems – the developer team focusing strongly on boosting mobile phones’ versatility – introduced File Commander. The app offers many useful features and enables you to work with all kinds of files easily. You might receive 15 GB of cloud storage provided by MobiSystems as well to use with other MobiSystem products. By the way, you might want to check out their OfficeSuite PRO app, the ultimate solution to work with office documents.
File Commander – the most feature-rich file manager
File Commander stands out from its peers not only because it lets you manage your files easily, but also because of many additional useful features it comes with. You can even manage your cloud storages with File Commander, such as DropBox or Google Drive. The app also has a Storage Analyzer to help you declutter your phone memory. Moreover, File Commander can hide your important files and folder with a secure Personal Vault.
Apart from helping you keep track of your files, File Commander also provides you many smart features. You can run most file types right from the app. In other words, File Commander supports almost all common file types natively. Besides, there is a file converter letting you transform your documents, photos, and videos from exotic formats into more common ones. The app encourages you to create an account on MobiSystems or log in if you already have one. That way, you might be able to receive 15 GB of free cloud storage as a bonus.
Managing your files and folder easily with File Commander
As a full-fledged file manager, File Commander shows no weakness in working with files and folders. Indubitably, it is straightforward to copy, paste, cut, and delete files and folders. Just tap on the three-dot button next to the corresponding item and press your desired command. You can also perform actions on multiple selected items by holding them. File Commander also lets you rename your stuff, view the properties and more.
In addition to the basic functions, File Commander’s advanced functions are very reliable too. For example, it can compress and decompress files seamlessly without the need of any add-on or third-party app. It can also create shortcuts that are even compatible with Windows and MacOS. To save you from accidentally deleting an important folder, File Commander uses a Recycle Bin to temporarily keep removed stuff out of sight. If you need to work with a certain file regularly, you can add it to Favorites. This saves you several repeated steps of browsing that file.
De-clutter your system with Storage Analyzer
The Storage Analyzer is a small yet powerful tool to declutter your files. It has an intuitive interface so that you can understand very quickly. On the top, there is a diagram showing the percentage each kind of file takes up in your system. Right below the diagram is the list of largest files. The feature also lets you see unimportant stuff inside the Download folder, chat apps, screenshots. These are the places that are most likely to be forgotten. The storage analyzer also has a list of largest folders, from which you might find something you can delete too.
The idea behind the storage analyzer is that there is always something you can delete to reuse storage space. Most of the time, you won’t remember some pictures, sounds, videos that you downloaded on the internet earlier. Additionally, photos and videos you create might be already backed up on cloud storage. It is likely that sometimes you decompress gigabytes of files just to access one file and fail to recall the rest. All these forgotten stuff can be deleted to make more room for important documents. Storage Analyzer helps you to decide what to delete, rather than doing it without prompting you.
Keep your files safe with Personal Vault
Another interesting feature that File Commander is kind enough to grant you is Personal Vault. This is an isolated place to store, lock, and hide all files and folders that matter to you the most. These files and folders then can only be accessed via File Commander. Putting stuff in the Personal Vault is as easy as taking them out of it.
To use the Personal Vault, the first thing you do is create a secret PIN number. This PIN must be 4 digits in length at least, and you get to enter it 2 times in case you mistype anything. It is extremely important to memorise the PIN, as it is the only way to unlock your stuff. Even the developer team cannot help you if your PIN is lost. Once you are inside the Personal Vault, press the Plus button to add content to it. If you prefer unlocking by fingerprint, there is a setting for it too. One thing to keep in mind is that if you delete your personal vault, the content within it will be erased too. Moving things out of the Personal Vault before the deletion would be a smart move.
Music player and video player
File Commander provides media players that allow you to play most video and audio formats in high quality. Therefore, you can take advantage of this feature to play music or watch videos when offline. Even so, we do not high appreciate this media player. If you want a professional one, we highly recommend Poweramp (for music player) and MX Player PRO (for video player).
Free cloud storage
File Commander allows you to store important files on the cloud service it provides, MobiDrive. Simply log in with a Facebook, Google, Apple Account, or phone number, then easily upload files and store them securely in the cloud. With a free account, you have 5GB of storage. Overall it should be enough for you to protect your important files or move them across multiple devices. If you want more, you’ll need to upgrade to a Premium account to get 50GB of cloud data.
